One more year, Grupo Arbulu sponsors, together with other companies of the industry, the FINE AWARDS, held within the framework of Navalia. During the evening, which will take place in the amazing surroundings of Palacio de los Escudos, the great work carried out by the winners will be recognized. Undoubtedly, an unmissable event for the entire maritime industry and an excellent opportunity to enjoy and share some time with clients, collaborators and friends. Clients from the companies of Grupo Arbulu, Nautical, Marine Instruments, Aage Hempel Group and Silecmar will attend this celebration.

PROMOTION OF THE NAVAL INDUSTRY

The quality and transparency of the FINE Awards are guaranteed by the extensive experience of the members of the jury. Thus, co-chaired by Javier Arnau and Sergio Alart, directors of Navalia and Sinaval-Eurofishing, respectively, the jury is made up of professionals from the sector and representatives of institutions of outstanding importance in the industry.

HONOR AWARD

Since 2016, the FINE Group has awarded the Professional Career Honor Award to professionals in the maritime sector who have stood out for their contribution to promoting the Spanish maritime industry. Throughout the first three editions, personalities such as Federico Esteve, Juan Manuel Arana, Alejandro Aznar, José Ramón Fernández, our president Luis Arbulu or Iñaki Latxaga have received this award.

The FINE awards have the following categories:

OUTSTANDING SHIPYARD

It will be awarded to the shipyard who has stood out for the operational management of his ships, as well as for his work in terms of equipment, maintenance and service. For this, the following criteria, among others, will be taken into account:

Operational management of ships
Innovation and improvements in equipment, maintenance and service of the fleet
Projects and works
Contribution to the shipbuilding industry
Growth and job creation
FEATURED SHIPYARD

It will be awarded to the shipyard that has stood out for the quality of its projects and works, both in the field of new constructions, as well as in that of conversions or repairs. For this, the following criteria, among others, will be taken into account:

The shipyard’s investment in R&D
Innovation in its construction processes
Projects and works carried out
Contribution to the shipbuilding industry
Growth and job creation

FEATURED SHIP

It will be awarded to the vessel that has stood out after January 1, 2017 for its excellence in both innovation and design. For this, the following criteria, among others, will be taken into account:

The technological innovations used in its construction
Terms of order, construction and delivery of the ship
Design
Energy efficiency

FEATURED INSTITUTION

It will be granted to all public or private Spanish institutions that represent and defend the interests of the different areas that make up the maritime sector. For this, the following criteria, among others, will be taken into account:

Actions carried out
Achieved achievements
Defense of the interests of the represented sector
Contribution to the maritime sector and its actors
FISHING

It will be granted to people, teams, cabinets, companies, etc. that within its activity the engineering project is counted, regardless of its legal form or nature. For this, the following criteria, among others, will be taken into account:

Innovation

OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL

It will be awarded to the professional who has stood out for his excellence, both in business and care. For this, the following criteria, among others, will be taken into account:

Industry involvement
Social responsability

OUTSTANDING MARITIME ENGINEERING PROJECT

It will be granted to people, teams, cabinets, companies, etc. that within its activity the engineering project is counted, regardless of its legal form or nature. The work or project may have been built in Spain or abroad, but it must have been designed in Spain by the proposed candidate, or be made up mostly of Spanish participation. Works already completed or under construction with a level of detail that allow an objective assessment by the Jury and that have been launched after January 1, 2017 can compete. following criteria:

Innovation in construction and design
Use of innovative materials
Improvements and benefits originated
Value for society and the maritime industry
HONOR AWARD FOR PROFESSIONAL CAREER
Special prize of the jury that will be awarded out of competition, and no professional in the maritime sector can directly apply for it. It will be awarded to the professional who, at the proposal of the Awards management and the FINE group of experts, has stood out for their entrepreneurial effort, capacity for innovation and the success of their projects. The final decision of choosing among the proposed candidates will be exclusive to the members of the jury. For this, the following criteria, among others, will be taken into account:

Career and development of your professional activity
Involvement in the development of the shipbuilding industry
Social recognition
Contribution to the professional group and/or professional sector.
