OCEANSAT- Fair Well Fishery digitalization of their fleet

FAIR WELL FISHERY chose OCEAN-SAT (company part of Holsat Group together with THALOS and ERISAT) for the digitalization of their fleet. OCEAN-SAT team in Taiwan deployed the Fleet Xpress satellite communication solution combined with OceanBox.. At the same time, the OceanBox allows the control of all incoming and outgoing flows on board. OCEAN-SAT has already deployed these services on 13 tuna seiners of the fleet.

MARINE INSTRUMENTS- M3iGo launch

The Grupo Arbulu company Marine Instruments is disrupting the tuna industry. They have recently launched their first satellite buoy with artificial intelligence, M3iGO. With the introduction of this new feature, the buoy provides the best quality data for maximum fishing efficiency, estimating the tones of tuna amongst all the biomass detected by the buoy. M3iGO opens a new era for sustainable and efficient fishing.

The sustainable management of pacific tuna fisheries

Over 55% of the key tuna catch comes from within the waters of the Pacific Island Countries and Territories, and many of these countries rely on the continued sustainability of the tuna stocks to obtain important national income and employment opportunities for their people. The Pacific Ocean represents 48% of the world’s ocean. In this Ocean area, the Western and Central Pacific is a key region for tuna.
